Seller registration guide

Process: Register account → Qualification → Settlement → Create store → Wait for approval

Important: A single set of enterprise qualifications or personal identification can only register one seller account. Duplicate registrations are rejected.

1. Register a seller account

  1. Go to Become a seller.
  2. If you already have a buyer account, choose that option and log in.
  3. If not, create a new account (username, password, phone OTP, email).
  4. Select seller type: Business (registered company) or Individual.
  5. Seller type cannot be changed after submission. Completing this step creates your seller login — you can continue later from Seller Hub.

2. Submit qualification information

Business: company name, address, registration no., tax PIN, company certificate, PIN certificate, plus director/owner (CR12) ID and CR12 document.

Individual: name, address, ID front/back, tax PIN + certificate.

Accept the seller agreement and terms before continuing.

3. Settlement information

Bank method, currency, account details, bank proof document, optional M-Pesa. Going back without saving discards the current step.

4. Create a store

Store name (max 30), logo, marketplace, VAT status, notification contacts. Individual sellers: one store. Business sellers: multi-store support can be enabled after approval.

5. Review & approval

Jamii-Shop Kenya typically reviews within 1–3 working days. If rejected, log in and edit, then resubmit. Buyer-facing pages never show your seller identity — communication stays on Jamii-Shop Kenya messenger and email.
